Universal Health Care Foundation of Connecticut established healthcare4every1 to organize residents to achieve quality, affordable health care for everyone in the state.

In 2006, Universal Health Care Foundation of Connecticut launched healthcare4every1, a statewide advocacy and outreach campaign to build support for homegrown health reform. People from all walks of life came together and gave voice to the urgent need for a solution to our health care crisis.
 
With the hard work of thousands of healthcare4every1 activists and partner organizations, as well as the support of committed elected leaders, Connecticut passed state health reform laws in 2009 and 2011 that lead the nation.
 
Our vision is health care that:

  • Offers new affordable, quality health coverage choices to state residents
  • Slows health cost growth and spends our health care dollars more wisely
  • Delivers better care and promotes better health through prevention and innovation
  • Builds on federal health reform to bring new resources to the state
